  1. Don't just focus on one field position. Little league teams might have three people who all want to play first base, but only one will be chosen as the main first baseman. It's good to cultivate the skills of your child's favorite field position. (Even if the coach chooses someone else as this year's first baseman, next year's team might present new opportunities to pursue the position. And besides, reserve players are often subbed in when a child is unable to play.) But make sure you practice the skills of different positions as well - on a competitive team, there isn't any guarantee that your child will end up in his or her desired part of the field.
    A child who wants to play second base might end up in the outfield, for example, where fly-ball skills and a powerful, precise arm are necessities. The bottom line? Practice grounders, catching regular throws and fly balls, and throwing precisely over short and longer distances.
  2. Batting cages. Every little league player wants to be productive at the plate, but good hitting is the result of practice. No matter what kind of power your child can summon at the plate, focus and technique are acquired through time spent at the batting cages. Remember how Nolan Ryan practiced his fastball pitching underwater? The batting cages can help your child succeed in a similar way; if you help your kid grow accustomed to seeing and swinging at faster-than-normal pitches, the comparatively slower pitches of little league will seem far less intimidating. Much as Nolan practiced in more challenging circumstances, your little leaguer can benefit from exposure to a true fastball. Just make sure you teach batting cage safety as well.
  3. Teach protective batting. Just as there are safety rules for batting in batting cages, your child must also learn to protect his or her body when batting amidst the excitement of the little league game. Anybody who's ever watched a little league game knows that many pitchers haven't yet developed great control. Many learn to throw hard before they learn control (the greater of the two challenges). Batters should always keep their eyes on the ball - not just to make better contact with the bat, but also to determine whether an inside pitch is going to hit them. A batter who can't dodge a pitch should protect his or her chest by turning the front shoulder in toward the plate, so the wild pitch hits his back. Any impact on the backside of your body will be less dangerous than one along the front.
  4. Pitching practice. If your child wants to pitch, then you can help by being the loyal practice catcher. Provide a target for the pitch and call out balls and strikes. Remind your child that all umpires have different strike zones. You can prepare for this by adjusting your strike zone from day to day, promoting flexibility.
  5. Introduce your child to the field. If your little leaguer has never played competitively before, plan a trip to a local field prior to the start of the little league season. Players should feel the grass and dirt beneath their feet, look out onto the field from the batter's box, run the distance between bases and (if they want to be pitchers) stand on the mound facing home plate before entering competition. The exposure will make their initial little league experience more comfortable.
  6. Instructive videos. If you never played baseball yourself as a child, you might feel ill-equipped to teach your child some of the basics prior to little league. Thankfully, there are many instructive videos available for children. Watching them with your little leaguer allows both of you to learn together, paving the way for more exciting practice sessions.
  7. Psychological preparation. We as parents sometimes act on overprotective tendencies, and other times fail to fully appreciate the potential insecurities our children face among their peers. Little league might become your child's favorite activity. The team might be very cohesive and supportive (the aspirations of any team). But children can sometimes be rather cruel without even realizing it. Sometimes the weakest hitters are heckled by their own teammates. At other times, a dropped fly ball can make your kid the recipient of some unsportsmanlike sentiments. In order for your child to fully enjoy little league, you must prepare him or her for possible mistakes as well as successes.   • Build your snail a playground. A suitable playground for your pet snail does not need to be a complicated recreational park. Here’s how to do it. Make a box out of a cardboard or plastic. Cut the plastic or cardboard into 2 feet by 2 feet square. Make sure to fence it to at least 2 inches in height to ensure that your pet snail cannot sneak out of it. Put soil into the box and wet it with water. A damp box is very suitable for its slimy body. Place into the box your pet snail’s favorite food, such as apples, lettuce, cucumber, grains, seeds, etc. Make sure not to give your snail any salty food or any meat, as salty food is not good for its health and it cannot and will not eat meat. It would be helpful if you give it calcium-rich food to help it build a stronger shell. Put your pet snail gently into the box, and let it wander there for at least 10 minutes. But if it doesn’t peak out of its shell, you can sprinkle it with water to wake it up. Keep an eye on it, so you won’t lose it. When playtime is over, gently pick it up from the box and return it to its tank or aquarium.
  • Play with your snail with your hands. Before picking up your snail and playing with it, make sure you’ve washed your hands properly. If you are using a chemically-infused hand wash, rinse your hands thoroughly with water, as the chemicals might harm your pet snail. After washing your hands, dampen them with water. Then, spray your pet snail with water. Next, pick it up gently. Snails are very sensitive beings, which if touched harshly can be very aloof to you. Let it crawl along your wet hands. You can also lightly stroke its shell while it wanders along your hands. After a few minute of playing time with it, return it back to its tank. Always remember to wash your hands after you play with your snail to get rid of its icky slime.
  • Know you snail’s schedule. Most snails are nocturnal, so most probably, they’ll only be awake during the wee hours of the night. Make sure to play with your pet snail during the hours when it is usually awake. Otherwise, it will just remain in its shell and not play with you. Be a responsible pet snail-owner and play with it regularly.

  1. Drink a lot. You can lose up to 200-400 ml of water and significant quantities of sodium, potassium and chloride for every 20 minutes that you're running. Thus, re-hydration is very important. Drink about the same quantity that you are losing, or at least 500 ml per hour, during the exercise. You can do this by drinking isotonic drinks like Gatorade.
    If you are thirsty it is because your sodium and water levels are already low, so don't wait until you're thirsty to drink. Also, 1.5-2 hours before you start the exercise you should drink 250-500 ml of water. This allows the water time to reach your cells and hydrate them. Finally, you should ingest the weight you lose during the run after it is over. You can do this by drinking water and eating fruits or other foods.
  2. Run in the shade as much as possible. Although the sun stimulates the production of vitamin D in your skin, after 15 minutes of exposure it starts to aggravate the skin. UVA and UVB radiation will burn your skin and eyes and start to mutate your cells if you do nothing about. So put on waterproof or sweat-proof sunblock, sun glasses that filter UV rays and a cap (to block as much sun from your face as possible).
  3. Stop as soon as you feel ill. If you feel any of these symptoms you should immediately stop the exercise: dizziness, nausea, dry skin or shivering. Drink something and sprinkle water on your skin. If you don't get better, search for help.
  4. Wear light clothes. It's better to wear light colored clothes. They reflect the sun's rays better, so you won't get be as hot as you would in darker clothing. Also, use light weight shorts and t-shirts or tank tops, preferably Dry-Fit. They absorb and eliminate the sweat, so you don't get soaked. Lastly, you should use running shoes rather than tennis shoes.

Make sure to pull in the waist. Push air through your spine and hold it in for at least 30 seconds. One you perfect this loop, performing the pose called Four Limb Staff should come easier.
  • To improve the energy loop in your shoulder, make sure to activate your skull energy loop. Face forwards and move your ears to the back of your shoulders. Raise your chin and focus on lowering the back part of the skull. Slowly inhale and exhale as you hold the position for half a minute.
  • From the upper part of your body, let the energy flow to your pelvis. Assume the pushup position and try to dig your heels into the ground. At the same time, lift your buttocks up. Slowly move your hands forward so that your body is now forming a triangle. While in this position, try to move the tailbone forward and hold it in that position for fifteen seconds. Take deep breaths as you perform the pose. This will activate the energy loop in your pelvic area.
  • Unlock the energy loop in your thighs. Your thigh loop will be activated by doing to lunge pose.
